You retain your rights in content you provide. Use Lectern only for material you are authorized to record, process, and share. Obtain required consent and follow applicable recording laws, school policies, copyright rules, and academic-integrity requirements.
Review generated material
Transcription and AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Check notes, flashcards, quizzes, and answers against the source material. Lectern does not guarantee academic results or replace advice from a qualified professional.
Connected services
Google Docs, Canvas, AI agents, transcription providers, GitHub, and other connected services have their own terms, account requirements, limits, and possible charges. You are responsible for the accounts and services you choose to use. Their availability and pricing can change.
Google Docs export can overwrite the content of a lecture’s existing tab. Keep separate copies of material you need to preserve. Signing out of Lectern does not delete documents you have exported.
Availability and warranty
Lectern is supplied “as is,” without warranties, as stated in its MIT License. Features may change or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the license’s warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability apply. Nothing here excludes rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
